Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to drinking water, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southeastern part, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has intensified attacks on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in supplying defensive weapons and enforcing sanctions," he wrote in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles targeted the country's power systems, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

The strikes come after nights of aerial attacks in the area, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to spot.

Authorities told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.
